 Yesterday I was at a preview screening of Cloudy with chance of Meatballs 2, organized by Sony, INDAChs and Johannes Wolters.
It's a great little movie. The animation is top (as can be expected) but the story is really good as well. I know most people still think of animation as a kids genre, and this movie is great for children, but also huge fun for adults. It works beautifully on many levels and if you want a feel good movie, or just some time away from everyday stress, give it a try. I don't want to give too much away, suffice to say, there are some really nice little references to some classic movies that made me smile. And the characters just really make it an enjoyable movie.
On a side note, the movie LOOKS really good as well. The backgrounds are beautiful, the colours amazing and the shots of San Franjose... well if you've ever been in San Francisco you'll probably get home sick. I did.
The 3D doesn't feel like a gimmick and actually really adds to the overall feel of the movie. The attention to detail and textures is really top notch, even on characters with very little screen time. A lot of love was poured into this movie and it shows.
So thanks again to the folks at Sony, Johannes and everyone who had a hand in organizing this screening.

die Veranstaltung hat mir gut gefallen. Das Gespräch war
sehr interessant und ich denke, die beiden hatten neben all der
Arbeit ziemlich viel Spaß. Toll, dass Du das immer organisierst.
Leider konnte ich danach nicht mit in die Kneipe kommen.
